Around The Horn

As if Matt Kemp's crash into the center field wall wasn't enough to make one gasp, the Dodgers appear to be collecting injuries these days. Kemp has a bruised knee, but was given stitches in his jaw.  He is listed as day to day and could be back in the lineup this weekend. But wait, there's more...

Scott Elbert was placed on the DL Wednesday with elbow inflammation.

Kasten spoke at a fan discussion presented by the Los Angeles Times and moderated by columnist Bill Dwyre.  In an interview later, Kasten said his comments were made out of concern and “not based on medical evidence.” He said the Dodgers’ search for pitching was not necessarily motivated by Billingsley’s injury.
