I'm Robert Timm: creator and sole writer of Dodger Dugout. Since 2004, when sites like Dodger Thoughts and Dodger Blues were the only real games in town, I picked up my keyboard and began covering the Dodgers while my newborn son was sleeping the summer away. Since then, this site has grown into a passion much larger than any hobby should.
Thanks to Dodger Dugout, I've had the privilege of receiving a press credential from the Los Angeles Dodgers which has granted me access to the Dodger clubhouse, Spring Training privileges, and access to players and team personnel. Over the years, I've been interviewed by NPR Radio and Fox Sports West and quotes from this site have appeared in the L.A. Times, Bloomberg, and MLBTR. Dodger Dugout has also been a featured site of Sports Illustrated's Dodgers page for several years.
These days I'm mostly retired from regular posts. However, you can expect SHOUTBOX posts on everything that affects your Los Angeles Dodgers. (My nine year-old son says he'd like to take over regular blog duties when he gets older. He's quite passionate about it. We'll see.)
Stop by and sound off in the Shoutbox - it's a great group of fans who like to chew on all things Blue. In real time chat.
Thanks for stopping by the Dugout.
